Content marketer Janet: “It’s not about the title, it’s more about just feeling the growth within myself.”

Meet Janet, a Content Marketer and Multimedia Executive at Globally Cool. Her story began with an internship, a foot in the door that would transform into a career. It feels like from day one I was part of the team,” she reflects. From the very beginning, Janet embraced the challenges of her role, learning to navigate the world of marketing. 

Overcoming challenges

As her role evolved, Janet found herself faced with the challenge of balancing creativity with practicality. “You have to budget your time,” she explains. “We always have a timer ticking. It’s been a big lesson for me to find that fine line of when enough is enough.” Staying updated on the latest trends and developments proved to be an ongoing struggle for her. “That’s the eternal struggle,” she notes. “Things can change overnight.” But through constant research and analysis of her own performance, she finds ways to stay ahead in the fast-paced world of marketing. One of the biggest challenges Janet faced at Globally Cool was learning to navigate different tastes and preferences within the team. “When it comes to design or writing style, everyone has a personal taste,” she explains. “So, you can never appeal to everyone. That’s a challenge that will never end.” But through compromise and collaboration, she found ways to overcome these obstacles and collaborate with her colleagues.

Reflecting on her proudest achievements, Janet speaks of her growth as a mentor to interns. And as she guides the next generation of marketing professionals, she finds fulfillment in knowing that she’s making a difference. Despite the challenges, Janet finds her role deeply rewarding. “It’s not about the title, it’s more about just feeling the growth within myself,” she says with pride. “That’s been very rewarding.”

As Globally Cool continues to grow and expand its reach, Janet is confident that they’re making a positive impact in the global market. “We’re doing everything in our power to stay true to our mission and vision,” she says. “We want to leave a positive impact, and though it can be difficult at times, we always keep that in mind.”
